                    August approaches and we see the near shore Atlantic begin to produce Bonita and Kings along with some Cobia. This past week I fished with Bill Wright and John as well as Bills wife Greta and we enjoyed mixed success with some early morning Tarpon inshore . While the Tarpon refused us we caught some Ladyfish, Jacks and trout on Doa Plastics and Fly. Out in the ocean we caught Bonita up to 12 # . I also fished with Alan Julier and while we struggled in the lagoon we did find Cobia off the beach. On July 18-20 I was privileged to be invited to the DOA outdoor writers festival at River Palms in Jensen Beach. It was a great event and I must thank Mark Nichols and his tremendous staff for such a great event as well as Rufus Wakeman and his family for the great hospitality at River Palms. All in all on my boat we caught 13 species of fish in 2 days. Other guests caught Snook up to 44"  a great catch anywhere!
